About RenoMe
RenoMe supports newcomers, internationally trained professionals, and professionals in transition through practical learning and professional connection. Our programs strengthen communication, leadership, and future-ready skills. RenoMe is in its founding phase and is incubated by Renovon Consulting Inc.
Required experience and skills
- Demonstrated professional experience leading programs or projects through planning, delivery, and evaluation, with examples of responsibilities and results.
- Ability to manage scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, and multiple workstreams using shared planning and reporting tools.
- Practical experience assessing risks, resolving issues, and escalating concerns with clear recommendations.
- Strong team leadership, stakeholder coordination, meeting facilitation, and concise management or executive reporting.
- Professional communication in English, reliable follow-through, and the ability to collaborate across professional and cultural backgrounds.
PMP certification or active progress toward PMP certification is strongly preferred. Substantial relevant program-management, project-delivery, or project management office experience will also be considered.
Professional experience gained in Canada or internationally is welcome. An additional spoken language is an asset.
Program-specific experience
- RenoMe for Future: Digital skills, practical AI literacy, workplace technology, career development, or adapting to changes in work.
Key responsibilities
- Define requirements and plan delivery. Agree participant needs, scope, intended outcomes, and success measures. Maintain a realistic program plan with milestones, dependencies, resources, and accountable task owners.
- Coordinate the team. Align assigned Project Managers, facilitators, and volunteers around agreed priorities. Run focused check-ins, document decisions and actions, and follow up on commitments and handoffs.
- Assess risks and flag concerns early. Maintain a risk and issue register, assess likelihood and impact, assign mitigation owners, and prepare contingencies. Escalate significant scope, schedule, capacity, or funding dependencies with options and a recommended response.
- Manage readiness, resources, and changes. Confirm materials, communications, team coverage, venue or platform, and participant support before activities proceed. Track approved spending and seek authorization for significant changes or external commitments.
- Report progress and support decisions. Provide a concise weekly executive update on achievements, upcoming milestones, resource needs, unresolved issues, and decisions required. Recommend corrective action when delivery moves away from the agreed plan.
- Evaluate results and maintain continuity. Review participation, feedback, and learning outcomes. Document improvements, maintain accessible program records, and prepare a clear handover at the end of the assignment.
Initial priorities and support
During your first month, agree a program brief, assess team capacity and delivery risks, and establish the first activity plan and reporting rhythm. The executive team will confirm your scope, available resources, decision-making boundaries, and designated leadership contact during onboarding. Project Managers and facilitators will support delivery where assigned; the plan will reflect actual team capacity.
Benefits and recognition
- Acknowledgement of your contribution on RenoMe's website and in relevant social media updates, with your consent.
- A reference letter following successful completion of the agreed term, reflecting your responsibilities and contribution.
- Collaboration with the RenoMe Executive Team, professional volunteers, facilitators, and community partners.
- Ownership of a defined program and tangible outcomes for your professional portfolio, while supporting participants' confidence, skills, and connections.
Commitment
- Position type: Unpaid volunteer leadership role.
- Time: Approximately 8–12 hours per week, including planning, meetings, reporting, and agreed activities.
- Initial term: Six months, with extensions by mutual agreement.
- Arrangement: Hybrid, with remote coordination and agreed online or onsite activities in Toronto or Hamilton.
- Reports to: RenoMe Executive Team.
Deliverables and attendance will be agreed before you begin. Work will be planned within agreed hours; additional delivery-period commitments require advance discussion. Communicate availability changes promptly and support an orderly handover.
