About RenoMe

RenoMe is a community initiative supporting newcomers, internationally trained professionals, and professionals in transition. Through community learning, we help participants build confidence, strengthen professional skills, and develop meaningful connections. RenoMe is in its founding phase and is incubated by Renovon Consulting Inc.

The role

As a Volunteer Program Manager, you will lead the direction, quality, and ongoing development of one RenoMe program. Working with the Founder, you will establish priorities, support the delivery team, and translate the program’s purpose into practical learning experiences.

This role focuses on program planning and participant outcomes. You will work with Project Managers on workshop and event delivery, with responsibilities agreed as the team develops.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program priorities, intended participant outcomes, and an achievable activity plan in collaboration with the Founder.
• Collaborate with facilitators and program development contributors to shape learning objectives, workshop content, and participant resources.
• Provide clear direction to Project Managers and volunteers on program scope, responsibilities, and delivery expectations.
• Lead regular team check-ins, document decisions, and follow up on agreed actions.
• Monitor program progress and raise resource needs, delivery concerns, or proposed changes early.
• Review participation, feedback, and learning observations to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare concise updates for the Founder on program progress, challenges, and next steps.

Qualifications and experience

• Experience coordinating a program, project, community initiative, learning activity, or team.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to explain priorities and expectations.
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgement, and reliable follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a volunteer team.
• Interest in supporting newcomers, internationally trained professionals, and professionals in transition.
• Availability to meet the agreed time commitment and participate in scheduled program activities.

Helpful, but not required:

• Experience in education, facilitation, community development, or leadership.
• An additional spoken language is an asset, but not required.

Relevant experience gained through employment, volunteering, study, and work outside Canada is welcome. A specific degree or PMP certification is not required.

The commitment

• Position type: Unpaid volunteer.
• Time commitment: Approximately 4–6 hours per week.
• Initial term: Six months.
• Working arrangement: Hybrid, combining remote planning with agreed online or onsite activities in Toronto or Hamilton.
• Reports to: RenoMe’s Founder.
